Our Partners & Sponsors

An integral part of KARI's commitment to engagement with the local Aboriginal community involves our partners and sponsors.

Throughout the history of KARI community programs the focus of all initiatives has been the delivery of targeted strengths based initiatives based on identified community need. In order to ensure that these initiatives are of the highest quality, we have sought out appropriate partners and supporters to work with us in delivering the best possible outcomes.

  1. Our Sponsors/Supporters

    KARI receives support and sponsorship from a variety of local businesses and other corporate stakeholders in the delivery of many of programs and services. This corporate support allows us to ensure that the organisation is well resourced and able to deliver quality programs and services for the benefit of the Aboriginal community.

  2. Our Partners

    As an inclusive community organisation, KARI also has a number of community supporters, including:

  3. Our Aboriginal Service Providers

    KARI strives to include partners in all Community Programs Initiatives. As a part of our commitment to Aboriginal economic empowerment KARI also ensures that as far as practicable all service providers utilised in program delivery are Aboriginal people. The cultural benefits of this requirement include, but are not limited to ensuring that:

    • All programs and initiatives have been delivered in a culturally appropriate and respectful manner;
    • Matters of cultural significance are addressed throughout all programs;
    • Participants remain engaged and participate in all programs;
    • Aboriginal pride is encouraged and promoted through all programs;
    • All participants accessing our programs have access to positive Aboriginal role models.

    Partner Profile:

    The following is a profile of two of KARI's premier service providers.

    Koori Communications & Training - Peter Cooley

    Peter is a proud Aboriginal man who has been providing quality programs for KARI for many years. Throughout his history of service provision for KARI Peter's programs have consistently been well received and attended.

    His skills and abilities as a service provider are evident through the evaluations regularly undertaken of each KARI Community Program. They were also independently recognised through his receipt of the 2009 NSW Premiers Award for Education. As an award winning program coordinator Peter consistently delivers well planned, structured and culturally appropriate programs.

    Koori Communication's other programs all include a distinctly cultural focus. With each program containing cultural components, the individual cultural needs and identity of all participants is encouraged and promoted through all Koori Communications programs.

    This valued service provider is also in the process of developing proposals to deliver a number of other culturally focussed initiatives including an Aboriginal Art and Design Program to be run during school holidays.

    Blake Ralph Recording Studios - Blake Ralph

    Blake is an incredibly talented young local Aboriginal musician. With a wealth of experience in the music industry he facilitates two of KARI's most popular and well attended programs. These programs include the KARI Music and Singing Program and the Vocal Identification Program.

    His skills and abilities as a service provider are evident through the rapport that he establishes with all participants of this program. As a young Aboriginal man he is able to undertake an informal mentoring role for the students of all of his programs. As a consequence of this ability to engage with all participants, Blake's programs consistently receive outstanding feedback from all participants and evaluate very well.

    Blake is an award winning musical talent in his own right. With an impressive list of performance experience and exposure to the music industry, he is able to provide fantastic advice and assistance for the budding Aboriginal musicians attending his programs. Blake has also won numerous awards for his performances during his short but distinguished career. This industry experience as well as Blake's personal experience and dedication to supporting local Aboriginal youth make Blake another standout Aboriginal service provider working with KARI.

    This valued service provider is also in the process of developing proposals to deliver a number of other quality music initiatives for local Aboriginal youth including a music production program. This program will give participants exposure to the process of recording their own personal individual musical compilation.
