Chairperson Gary Potts Gary Potts

Gary is a Wiradjuri Man from Parkes NSW; however he spent most of his life in Campbelltown NSW. He is a proud father of three great daughters and a devoted husband to a loving wife. Gary has been involved in Aboriginal Affairs for the past 15 years and has held a number of positions on many boards and committees in the Campbelltown/Liverpool areas. Gary is currently employed with Housing NSW in an Aboriginal Specialist position and has been with Housing for over fifteen years now. Gary is well known within his community and is currently coaching a local NRL football team. He is honoured to be the current chairperson of KARI and see KARI as a leader in the area of Aboriginal child protection and well being, as well as providing specialist support and training to our wonderful carers.

Director Bruce Callaghan Bruce Callaghan

Bruce is the Managing Director of Sydney based Training Organisation, BCA National Training Group. He is a business strategist, an expert in human resource management and a nationally recognized leadership trainer and change manager.

As a consultant, Bruce has over 20 years experience working with not-for-profit Boards in Governance, strategic planning and individual coaching. Over the same period he has worked closely with Aboriginal organisations and communities delivering capacity building services and training. He has been employed as a consultant for the Redfern Waterloo planning restructuring for health/ welfare programs and has worked with Aboriginal Communities in all Australian states.

Bruce has long term friends in Aboriginal communities in many different areas. More recently Bruce has been directly involved in Conservation and Land Management training in a number of remote communities where he is also working with leaders on employment creation opportunities. He has given advice contributing to the report on the "Boomanulla Conference for Country" Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC), NSW Department of Land and Water Conservation (DLWC). Bruce has had a strong relationship with KARI for several years and has worked for them with the CEO on various consultancy projects.

Director Isabelle Phillips Isabelle Phillips

Is the founder and Managing Director of Mackerel Sky - Leadership Matters. She has an undergraduate degree in adult education majoring in human resource development, post graduate studies in linguistics and accreditations in a range of psychometric instruments. Isabelle is an experienced and accredited coach and trains coaches around Australia, in New Zealand, Singapore and China.

Isabelle started her career in education working first with children at Redfern Primary School and then with migrants and refugees in Fairfield and Cabramatta.  Prior to starting Mackerel Sky Isabelle worked for Vedior; the world's third largest human capital company, running HR and Talent Management consulting businesses for the Eastern seaboard of Australia.  Today her consulting business primarily designs and runs leadership development programs for corporates and the NFP sector. Her pro bono work involves coaching prisoners.

Treasurer Anthony Ashby Anthony Ashby

Anthony is a Gamilaraay-Yuwaalaraay man from north-western NSW. He is married with two children and is a passionate supporter of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Commerce (UNSW) and has gone on to complete post graduate qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and Registered Company Auditor. He holds a Public Practicing Certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and provides professional services to his client base.

His professional career started as a graduate accountant in Ernst & Young, where he progressed to Manager level. His other significant public accounting experience consisted of time spent in the United States of America as a contractor to the Moore Stephens Group New York/New Jersey offices.  After these public accounting experiences Anthony moved into the commercial arena as the Financial Manager for the Darrell Lea Group. Subsequent to Darrell Lea, Anthony established his own boutique accounting firm in 2004 specialising in the NFP and NGO sectors.

Director Paul Ralph Kevin Glew

A founding member of KARI and current CEO. A proud Aboriginal man with family connections from both the North Coast and South Coast of NSW but for the past thirty five has lived in Gandangara Country, South West Sydney. Over the years Paul has worked across a number of important Aboriginal portfolios specific to employment outcomes, housing, education and human services. This experience has enabled him to travel to many Aboriginal communities across Australia and see firsthand the many social issues that affect Aboriginal people but at the same time be privileged to see the diversity and resilience of the world’s oldest culture.

Over the past twelve years Paul has been committed to working exclusively in the Aboriginal community sector and has found this to be the most challenging and exciting time of his professional career. Paul is now committed to assisting his community for the remainder of his professional career.
